Fifteen years in IT, over ten of them in software project management — leading teams that
built systems for clients, rolled them out, and trained the people who had to use them. Since then: co-founded and ran
a restaurant, run digital operations for a consumer brand, delivered a brand transformation project as sole contractor,
and built my own AI operating system.
Five contexts, one method.
Handed a project that would not close, the first thing I did was not a schedule — it was to renegotiate the definition of done with the client. Every context since has been the same problem: turning "done" from something you feel into something you can see.
Twice, I built it into the system itself — and both times for the same reason: an off-the-shelf tool was already in place and didn't address the actual problem.

The bought booking system handled "how many people, what time" perfectly well. What it could not handle
was that meals had to be ordered in advance — and that was the real constraint: without the order there is
nothing to prep, so it collapsed into chasing every guest by email. The tool wasn't bad; its assumptions
just weren't ours.
Both rebuilds then took the same shape: separate what other people see from what I have to judge, and turn
"what needs doing now" into a line on a screen instead of something to hold in my head.
This isn't a way of thinking I picked up from AI. Renegotiating "done" in a client's meeting room in 2013 and
opening a "who hasn't confirmed their order" view in Notion in 2023 are the same move.
It used to take meetings and documents; now I can build it in directly.
Started as a systems integration engineer building UI, web applications and databases, then moved into project management. Led development teams delivering custom systems for clients through go-live and user training; later managed up to 30 consultants placed across more than ten client companies. Took over a national certification exam system — 9,381 candidates, zero incidents — and closed a stalled project by renegotiating the definition of done.
Co-founder of a two-person restaurant. Owned brand identity, website, social, press and front of house — plus the booking system I built for it. Hosted 15 international delegations arranged by Taiwan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Council of Indigenous Peoples.
Built a personal operating system with Claude Code: 29 modules, 11 scheduled jobs, three data sources pulled via API. Cut device recovery from a full day to 5 minutes.
Sole owner of social, paid media, SEO, landing pages and executive reporting. Split the role into six function modules and validated the dashboard in three layers before trusting it — which surfaced five data defects.
Sole contractor and project owner. Designed staged billing and sign-off, then handled a three-month payment delay by stopping work, holding the price, and rewriting the payment terms.
Competency on the left, the actual delivery it maps to on the right.
Project management roles in systems implementation and digital transformation — the internal side, where something gets built, rolled out and actually used.
